An education that began at the oldest Military Academy in America and ended with a Seven Sisters college in liberal arts, taught me the value of diversity, discipline & critical thinking. Nothing intrigues me more than a good read and an immersion in experience.
An enlistment in the uniformed services taught me the value of service before self. The Army values: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal courage are ones I strive toward daily. I was lucky enough to have leadership that inspired me to grow, and I hope to lift others as I climb today.
"The pen is mightier than the sword..” and I finally understood the meaning of that statement when I had the opportunity to trade my M16 for a Posse scholarship, which opened many doors for me. The pursuit of knowledge is my greatest passion and it has led me to some wild adventures.
As an alumni of New Politics Academy, I have participated in many campaign management activities from the MD gubernatorial race to down ballot races to elect passionate, driven changemakers.
From storming the hill for Women Veteran's causes to advocating for necessary changes in public policy for social justice, I love being able to support causes I am passionate about.
As a board member of Woerth It Hollow, I am proud of support this farm that rescues horses and offers equestrian therapy and agricultural education to veterans.
